It's okay to ask

Psalm 50:13-15 "Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

Almost everyone understands that God doesn't want us going to church to put money in the bucket to pay for whatever miracle God will throw our way. God isn't a miracle vending machine.

God is a real person who responds to our faith and our cries for help. He comforts us when we can't stand on our own. He sends people to teach us how to pray. He helps us develop our faith so when we find ourselves in trouble, we can thank Him for already being there in the midst of it, ready to show us the way out.

Giving thanks is sometimes a sacrifice. There are times when we have to kill our own desire to flee in fear. Instead of fleeing, we speak out our faith and thanksgiving. We do this because we know God will respond.

He wants us to call upon Him in the day of trouble. He's ready to deliver. And when He does, we can't help but honor Him.

Don't think that God is tired of hearing our plea for help. He's happy that we're running to Him.
